Ardley Rescue Kennels was started in December 1997 by Mark & Annabelle Pottle and became a registered Charity in June 2003.
Since the rescue centre started we have run a 24 hour a day service for dogs that need help. This can range from unwanted, lost, found neglected and injured dogs.
We have with your help found kind, loving and forever homes for over 2000 dogs.
All our dogs, no matter what breed, age or condition are loved deeply and we do everything possible to ensure that they all get the best possible care that we can give.
We assess each dog individually, which enables us to find out the needs for the particular dog and what type of future home will be best suited to them. Thing ranges from, can they live with other dogs, cats, children and the best environment to meet their needs.
We always try and get the most suitable owner for the dog and not which dogs the potential thinks is the most cutiest or fluffiest. In our world the dog always comes first.
All our dogs received the best verterinary treatement. They are all wormed, deflead, bathed, vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and castrated. This costs the Charity on average for an uncastrated male £250.00 and for an unspayed bitch £325.00. Our rehoming donation is just £150.00.
We rely totally on your support to help us raise funds that we need to carry on helping these unwanted & neglected dogs.
Over the years we seen some terrible and disgusting acts of cruely, but what keeps us going is the resilience of these beautiful dogs and the sense of gratitude that they all give back so freely after what some individual human being has done to them.
Lastly - We dont just do this on our own, without the love and devotion of volunteers we would not be able to help as many dogs as we do. We havae a dedicated team of dog walkers, foster carers, trainers and helpers that give up their time every single day - so thank you to them all.
